Fashion & Style: Inspirations Come to LIFE!

I told you guys fashion week here was busy and definitely more intensified than last year.  For the second night, my favorite night, of Saint Louis Fashion Week was the Wear It Fashion Challenge.10 designers, including two good friends of mine Destini Gamble & Alexis Cook, competed for 5,000, presented by ALIVE Media Group and my beloved school Stevens-The Institute of Business & Arts (SIBA Alumni!!!).  Once again I don't know how the judges were able to decide, maybe because I was really biased (lol), but to me it was a hard decision.  But considering we had a top notch panel, including Todd Thomas, Designer, Director, Strategic Brand Consultant and Adjunct Professor at Parsons The New School; Susan Barrett, Found and Owner of projects + gallery and Barrett Barrera Projects; Lisa Melandri, Director of Contemporary Art Museum; Laura Kathleen Baker, Fashion Designer and Project Runway All-Stars alum; Debra Bass, Fashion Editor of St. Louis Post-Dispatch; Sarah Stallmann, Fashion Editor of ALIVE Magazine, the decision was in a set of great hand and great minds!

In the end, Nasheli Ortiz (look up) won with her amazing, AMAZING design, and to my surprisingly knowledge has worked with many notable designers and brands including Hipolito Pena, Oscar de la Renta, Cristani di Roma and others!
